  • LB Shaquille Leonard will retire after six seasons in the NFL as a member of the Colts, the team announced Wednesday. Leonard will make his retirement official during halftime of Sunday's Week 5 game against Las Vegas. Leonard, 30, was taken by Indianapolis in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft and won Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. A three-time first-team All-Pro and Pro Bowler, Leonard played over five seasons in Indy, totaling 15 sacks in 70 games played. He was released in the middle of the 2023 season and signed with Philadelphia. Leonard did not play in 2024. The linebacker leaves football with 637 tackles, 16 sacks, 12 interceptions, 31 passes defensed, 17 forced fumbles and one touchdown in 75 games played.
